Instant E-PAN

For apply E-PAN following are the prerequisites:

  1. Applicant must be an Indian Citizen.
  2. Applicant must be an individual, who has not been allotted a PAN.
  3. Applicant must have a valid Aadhar and mobile number linked to Aadhar.
  4. Applicant must not be a minor on date of request.
  5. Applicant must not be covered under the definition of “Representative Assesses” under Section 160 of Income Tax Act.

How to apply for Instant E-PAN?

  1. Go to the Income Tax Website https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal
  2. Click on Instant E-PAN under Quick Links Tab.
  3. Select Get New e-PAN.
  4. Enter your 12 digit Aadhar number and continue.
  5. Click the “I have read the consent terms and agree to proceed further” box, then click Continue.
  6. Enter the 6-digit OTP, click the “I agree to validate my Aadhaar details with UIDAI” box, and click Continue.
  7. Check your personal data based on Aadhar e-KYC.
  8. Validate your email ID by entering OTP received on Email.
  9. Click the “I accept that” box after reading and understanding the conditions below it, and click Continue.
  10. Note down the acknowledgment number.
  11. Request for e-PAN has been submitted successfully.
  12. Now you can check status or Download PAN by click on the same.
  13. Enter your 12 digit Aadhar number and continue.
  14. Enter the 6-digit OTP, click continue.
  15. Now you can view or download your PAN.
