On 02nd August 2022 GSTN introduced a facility to file NIL GSTR 1 through single click.

Single click Nil filing of GSTR-1 has been introduced on the GSTN portal to improve the user experience and performance of GSTR-1/IFF filing. Taxpayers can now file NIL GSTR-1 return by simply ticking the checkbox File NIL GSTR-1 available at GSTR-1 dashboard. For the detailed advisory please click here.

Following is steps to file the Nil GSTR 1 through single click:

1. Login to the GST website https://www.gst.gov.in/
2. Go to the return under service tab.
3. Select Return Dashboard.
4. Select the period for which return should be filed and search.
5. Click on Prepare online under GSTR 1 tab.
6. Click on File NIL GSTR 1.
7. Click on File statement.
8. Select the option form EVC or DSC to file GSTR 1.
